Vectors (“we”, “us”, “our”) is a professional networking platform that puts your privacy first. Your data belongs to you, not your employer. This policy explains what we collect, why, and how we protect it.

2. Information We Collect

Account information: When you sign in with Google OAuth, we receive your name, email address, and profile photo. This creates your permanent Vectors account.

Verified emails: You may verify additional work email addresses to join domain workspaces. We store these email addresses and their verification status.

Messages and files: We store messages you send and files you upload (JPEG, PNG, PDF up to 10MB) so your conversations are available to you and your conversation participants.

Profile information: Any social links or display labels you choose to add to your profile.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Provide and maintain the Vectors platform
• Verify your identity and domain membership
• Deliver messages and notifications to you
• Send unread digest emails (you can control notification preferences)
• Prevent abuse through rate limiting and blocking features

4. What We Never Do

• We never share your data with employers
• We never sell your personal information to third parties
• We never use your messages for advertising or profiling
• We never grant employer access to your conversations or connections

5. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored in secure, encrypted databases. Authentication uses secure HttpOnly cookies. File uploads are stored in encrypted cloud storage (Cloudflare R2). We follow industry-standard security practices to protect your information.

6. Data Visibility

Messages are scoped strictly to conversation participants. Even within the same domain workspace, users cannot see conversations they are not part of. All conversations are private and invite-only.

7. Account Deletion

You can delete your account at any time from your settings. When you delete your account, your profile information and verified emails are removed. Your sent messages in existing conversations may be retained for the other participants.

8. Email Communications

We may send you unread message digest emails. You can unsubscribe from invitation emails at any time using the unsubscribe link in each email. Unsubscribed addresses will never receive further invitations.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting a notice on our platform.
